| 4 Sun's Dusk Yesterday I made my way from Bravil to Leyawiin. I saw no sign of Wumeek, but at least there was no body. Dawnfang was happy with the trip, but I got a bit bored of fighting the whole way. I checked in at Milo's to see how the translation was coming, but found Milo dead and the shop a burning hulk. With many bidders for the book, I suspect murder--vicious murder. Then I made my way to Topal Bay to buy Kumiko Manor. I spent the night exploring the Manor. The Mage's Tower had working altars, so I created some restore spells that I had been unable to find a teacher for. I collected many ingredients from the gardens. The alchemy lab has one of those special chests. I had a hard time deciding what ingredients to have gathered. I finally decided on Beef and Void Salts as they are hard to come by. I trained a bit in the training rooms, until I got bored. I also picked up Deadrofear, which looks to be a fine sword. 6 Sun's Dusk The Mage's Guild sent me off on an errand to collect a stupid book from the Count of Skingrad. That is what they told me, anyway. While waiting, I went out to pick some flowers. Near Goblin Jim's cave, I found another of those Acursed Oblivion Gates. This one opened to a waste with no Sigil Towers--or any towers--in sight. I had to climb to get the lay of the land. Sneaking along the ridgeline worked ok until I realized that it was a fast topple back into the lava if one of those Daedra hit me hard enough. After that, I just took the path laid out--which lead through a series of tunnels to get to the Sigil Tower. This was less trouble than some gates, and I got out in time for my meeting with the Count. Or that is what I thought at the time. I am getting a little tired of all the intrigue. By the time I got back to the Mage's Guild to give them more than a little piece of my mind, it was late in the night and everyone was asleep. I stomped out in disgust, and went to the Black Market to sell all the daedric and ebony crap I'd picked up in Oblivion. 7 Sun's Dusk Spent a lot of the day crouching in a stupid cupboard. Now the Crusader's Relics are annoyed. Sigh. 8 Sun's Dusk I decided to see if I could find that lost spire from its map coordinates. The Archeologists' Guild calls it "Pristine Spire." I call it Hell Frozen Over. All those scary noises would have been a better clue to a smarter adventurer. Too bad I can only wear two rings as now I have some very difficult choices to make. 9 Sun's Dusk The Fates seem to point to Cheydenhall. Tar-meena's hints lead me to a map that leads to Cheydenhall and the Mystic Dawn. The archeologists want me to hunt down murdering burglars who might be there. The sanctuary is there. The Theives Guild wants some bust from there. The Mage's Guild has some ruin out that way they want investigated. Yes, the Fates point to Cheydenhall. All roads seem to lead there. Except the one I took when I decided to head south from the Imperial City to see if I could find the Priory of the Nine. 10 Sun's Dusk I survived the ghosts. You'd think that if they wanted help from the mortal realm they'd be more helpful. Many roads lead from the Priory of the Nine. Thankfully, none of them go to Cheydenhall. |
