Well, Chizel was talking about BG Rep rewards, not Rank rewards. As far as Rank rewards, Blizzard first announced the complete Honor system overhaul about 2 months ago, plus it'll be another few weeks until the new system is in effect. A guildmate of mine started the Rank climb from the beginning with his L58 Warlock right around the time the announcement was made, knowing full well he was "racing the clock". In the last 7 weeks he's gotten up to Rank 10 as well as hitting 60 in the process just from ribbon turn-ins. He's going for both the Rank 11 epic mount and Exalted in AB to get Ironbark Staff. He figures he'll make it in the next 2 weeks, just in time. The point is, PvP'ers going for high Rank know the change is coming and what's at stake. Most are still going full tilt anyway. |

A guildmate of mine started the Rank There is a repeating rumor that 2.0.1 is going up next week. I've been skeptical because I don't see the point of having a PTR for only 10 days, but I keep hearing it from people in the beta. The main supporting argument is that 'this has all been tested in the beta already'. Anyone who programs for a living doesn't buy this, because we know it's all about packaging, and not the individual bits of code. * -- * PV something like badgers--something like lizards--and something like corkscrews. |

Deployments are not trivial, even if the changes in the patch are small. There's just a process you have to follow no matter what. I figure 2.0.1 is going to come whenever they were going to enable the Xmas content anyway. Plus the official BC date is January 16th, and the PTR went up with 2.0.1 on November 14th. Split the difference and you get a 4 week test cycle and a deployment right before the Holidays on December 12th or 19th. You also get to give your people a nice little break to enjoy some time with their families, use some accrued vacation time, and get ready for the massive push when they get back after the 25th. Just a guess though. |

Doing it this week makes no sense, what with the Thanksgiving stuff going on. |
