This has probably already been discussed but... I was building up HP to get
the 60 epic battle gear set. But then I was thinking, what's the point of
spending the HP on it? Expansion is about a week away and I'm sure gear
level 70 is way better. Is the gear right now for level 60s from PVP worth
it? Wouldn't it be better to save the HP till I'm level 70? Will there be
level 70 epic battle gear? And weapons? What do you guys think?

Depends on your gear now.
If you have good gear no need to get pvp one. However getting 2 pieces for
the +20 stamina bonus is good. And depending on class the weapon can be
worth it (melee classes and hunters).A good weapon can really help levelling
faster.

The LvL 60 PvP gear is V good in relation to other LvL 60 stuff you
can get from instances etc.
The LvL 70 PvP gear looks much superior to the LvL 60 stuff.
The LvL 70 PvP gear will not be as good (relatively) as other lvl 70
stuff you get from instances.

The reason I say that is because I think Blizzard realise that the
current LvL 60 PvP stuff is now overpowered for the effort required,
considering the new honour system.
The new LvL 70 stuff is Blue and not considered Epic.

To get an idea - Blizz have posted some LvL 70 PvP stuff - which you

can get from instances etc.
The LvL 70 PvP gear looks much superior to the LvL 60 stuff.
The LvL 70 PvP gear will not be as good (relatively) as other lvl 70

If you think it worth, it worth. Sure the 5pp gears of lvl 70 are way better
than epics, but remember that you were ever the rank 14. It like the epic
weapon for hunter, it is not as good as what you get from taq, but it tells
people that you ever soloed those 5 daimons on your own.

It's the arena rewards that are meant to be the best PvP gear which
is meant to be on par with the instance gear. The arenas are meant to
be for hardcore PvPers and BG more casual. So, the rewards reflect that.
