I explained that most of this stuff you have to be exhaulted. I also
remember that as a young warlock i made enough honor points to get a
nice back armor. It was the sgt's cape. I had it from lvl 45 to lvl
66.

Well anyway I know about AB and WSG but now what about alterec valley.
Just curious.

Becomming exhaulted in Nagrand is pretty much a long grind for rep from
beads and kills once you've done all the Kurenai quests.

You don't need AB/WSG/AV reputation anymore to buy PvP rewards from these
battlegrounds. All you need is appropriate amount of honor and marks
obtained on these battlegrounds. AFAIK there are no rewards designed for lvl
70 to buy from vendors near entrances of battlegrounds. There are general
PvP weapons that you buy from vendors in Officer's area for your faction
(Champions' Hall in SW for alliance, Hall of Legends in Org for horde) also
for marks and honor points. Finally there is arena vendor in Netherstorm
that sells weapons for arena points. (ah, there are also some PvP rewards
for world PvP, but at level 70 only gems seem worth consideration and I
think there are no melee weapons in offer)
From my observations it looks like people who want to PvP start doing arena
at 70 while still playing classic battlegrounds (usually AV). Many people
invest their first arena points in weapons which are quite powerful items.
Unfortunatelly I have no idea how long it takes for fresh undergeared arena
player (which most probably means player that will have low rating) to
gather enough points for arena weapons.

About 4 weeks of play in a 2v2 (winning 50%) will earn enough points to buy
the lowest piece of Arena S2 gear (1000 points. Just make sure the team as a
whole play at least 10 matches per week, and that each player (if they want
points) needs to play 30% of the teams total matches.

The goal of Alterac Valley is to kill the enemy general. You can also earn
bonus honor by killing enemy lieutenants and capturing towers.

AV is much more PVE-like than the other battlegrounds. I spend much more
time fighting enemy NPCs than enemy PCs whenever I do AV.
