Did anyone read somewhere when should season 4 be out? Usually it was 2-3
weeks after a patch like the last one but this time I didn't see much talk
about it.
I just got my rogue to 70 last night and I wanted to get him some good
weapons but I don't want to just get a season 1 weapon to have season 2 out
the next week..

It doesn't seem imminent... Blizz has said that it doesn't think the
Season 3 gear is out of date yet...

Blizzard hasn't really said that much about S4 yet. Latest blue post I've
seen was from 10 days ago and it said 'not anytime soon'. But I think
they'll give the 2 week advance warning before it comes.

As the S4 stuff would be around the iLevels of Sunwell Plateau, I'd guess
that they'll wait for the pve gear from there to be more common before
the next season.

I saw either a blue post or a dev interview somewhere that said more or
less exactly that -- when the Sunwell-level gear is common, they'll start
introducing PVP gear that's on that same level, but for right now S3 is
competative and that's where they want it.

I have a rant about people decked out in full Gladiator gear thinking that
is a perfect raiding set, but....its honestly not worth it. (I have used
PvP gear to supplement my PvE set because, face it, and upgrade is an
upgrade. But I don't pretend that it's the optimal gear for the job.)

For sure. I mean, my guild doesn't raid, and I used two of the new
reputation PvP blues to replace some greens I still had even up to the
patch, but it's not like I'm not looking to replace them with something
better for PvE just because they're blue.

Depending on the class, a full Gladiator set _IS_ darn good raiding gear.

It was already discussed and it depends mostly on the class.
On the other hand it's a safe bet that 1 tier above the desired instance pvp
gear will do fine for most classes for example merciless that is season 2 is
fine for all tier 4 instances etc (not tanks pally/warrior).

ugh, I'm kicking myself for not playing s1 or s2. I was saving that
while time for my epic mount so I didn't want to recpec every week.
Now that S3 is out, I want that shield for raiding. Problem is you
need 1850 and I of course had zero resilience lol. I'm up to 220 res
now so hopefully soon I can get it by either moving up myself or
getting a couple of my 2k buddies to carry me.

If s4 comes out that could make life a lot easier maybe.
