If you find you are wasting your food because the healer is always healing you to full, then you can obviously stop eating, at least for that healer. For warlocks and life tap, take the same general rule. Life tap for your mana, then start to heal yourself with bandages and food. If it feels like you're wasting that stuff because everytime you do that the healer heals you back, then stop. Just use good judgement. |

If everyone knows each other and the healer isn't going oom it can be quicker for a warlock to life tap and just have the healer spend a small amount of mana to get them back to full health. I don't mind doing that at all if I'm running with guildies and I'm healing. 2 HoTs normally does it. Just don't expect it if you're in a group with strangers, then the polite thing is to heal yourself. |

As a healer I'm happy to heal people if I have the mana, but I appreciate if they show willing to help themselves too, and warlocks who lifetap to low health repeatedly while making zero effort to help themselves irritate me. When I play a lock I usually only lifetap 1-2 times and if I have to go further will bandage myself, and only stop doing that if I can see the healer is happy to help out. -- EU-Draenor: Balgair - Human Rogue (lvl 70) Naomh - Draenei Priest (lvl 70) Sagart - Undead Priest (lvl 70) Rosad - Human Warlock (lvl 70) Sealgair - Dwarf Hunter (lvl 70) Eilnich - Blood Elf Warlock (lvl 68) Beag - Dwarf Paladin (lvl 60) |

A good healer will actually tell you to life tap so they can help you get back in the fight quicker, move the instance along, etc. But healers vary. |

Also as a warlock is it rude to life >tap your mana back up and then not bandage/eat yourself? Simple really - as a rogue, if the healer throws a heal on me, then I don't eat. If the healer sits down to drink, I'll sit down and eat. As a priest, it depends how much mana I have after the fight. If I have enough mana I might throw a heal on those who need it and then drink to top up, otherwise I'll just drink and expect those who need it to eat/bandage and save time. Don't just stand around an expect/demand a heal tho, that annoys the heck of out healers. Warlocks who lifetap themselves to the brink of death during a fight are a pain in the ass since they'll then die if they take any hits. If I have mana and time to spare, I'll heal them, but otherwise - well it was their choice to burn all their health. Warlocks who lifetap after a fight, I'd normally give them a Renew (or other HoT) if I have the mana, otherwise they can eat/bandage while I drink. Or in fact, they can just drink while I drink and not need to lifetap at all... Dan |

I'm a healer that is my job. If I see someone not topped off I heal them. My mana regen is high enough where I probably will get the mana back by the time the next pull starts. But I will make an exception to healing if I see a pull starting because if the heal is finishing right after the pull then I am the one doing the pulling and not by choice. Same goes especially for chain pulling. Also I will try to be careful with popping a renew on someone close to a new pull or a CC break or incoming pat as there is a chance that I will be top on the list. And to be safe I might counteract the heal with a fade if I notice that tank getting jumpy just after I pop a renew up on someone. Orion |

If the renew lands before your target gets agro, every test I've done tells me that the target of the renew is the one that gets credit for the healing agro. Try this sometime; throw a renew on your tank and ask him to agro some mobs without hitting them. The tank will keep agro through the renew tics. Rgds, Frank |

I think there's a tricky thing about it, depending on whether the priest who cast the renew actually enters combat with the mob or not. -- Brandon Hume - hume -> BOFH.Ca, http://WWW.BOFH.Ca/ |

With the testing I did, the healer wasn't on the agro list until after the renew wore off. Rgds, Frank |
