| Does anyone know if a person will be able to advance past level 70 if they don't upgrade to WotLK ?!? So far I don't see anything in WotLK to make me want to run out and flop down 40 bucks for the upgrade, more or less I'll get it when I see it for 19.98 at Wal-Mart or somewhere, but not now. I have been playing the beta for about 6 hours a day since they sent me the invite and I got all the download done, and I'm just barely past half way to level 71, I think 1.5 million to level 71 is a bit much, and I am killing every thing in sight. forgot to add I'm a level 70 mage. thank you Robert |

Perhaps thats your problem. From what I have read, its really not too hard to level. The first level 80's in the beta appeared very shortly after they enabled the ability to reach that level. I know some mages and paladins level by AoE grinding mobs instead of doing quests. Perhaps this style of play does not scale well with level. Also, if thats how you're doing it, did you get your rested XP up. If not, you may want to do that first. But in answer to your question, no. You will not be able to advance past 70 unless you buy the expansion. You will not be able to level any of your professions past 375. You will not be able to even visit Northrend. You will not be able to make a death knight (though there is some speculation that death knights may become part of the patch and thus not require the expansion to play, but thats just speculation). About the only new things you will get will be the changes in talents, coming with the next patch, and you can train inscription, but thats also part of the patch and not part of the expansion. Simply put, if its part of the expansion, you can't have it without purchasing the expansion. |

This gets them more feedback, and makes sure bugs don't get missed. Once the game goes live, I expect you'll level at much the same pace you did in Outlands, as quickly or as slowly as you want. |

Yes I have done the quest's from both starting areas and yes I am rested, I got rested as I tried out the DK, didn't care much for them after you fall out of grace from the LK, just my opinion, A person should be able to choose if they want to be in the scourge, or go to one of the Ally or Horde. thank you Robert |

Don't know, but its unlikely - you pay to raise the level cap. > So far I don't see anything in WotLK to make me want to run out and flop > down 40 bucks for the upgrade, more or less I'll get it when I see it for > 19.98 at Wal-Mart or somewhere, but not now. Don't kill everything in sight, do quests. |
