I have noticed a couple of things that have changed since the last
maint. window this week. I an now unable to loot from someone that I
have defeated and thus cannot pay to have my equip. repaired or
purchase anything. Also, I have noticed that I am being easily
defeated by opponents that I was previously able to defeat with ease;
this is even after I am rested and gtg. I am fairly new to WoW so am
not sure what the issue is and am looking for suggestions on how to
resolve this issue.

Can you bring up the loot window at all? This sounds like an addon issue.
Do you have any addons that deal with looting treasure? Try disabling
your addons and see if that helps.

How, specifically, are you losing? Are you dealing less damage to your
opponents, or are they hitting your for more damage? Is your health lower
than usual?

Did you recently buy talent dual specialization and perhaps forget to
assign any talents in your other spec?

Perhaps this is related to your other problem -- if you can't pay to repair
your amor, perhaps it is all broken and you are effectively fighting naked?
Look at your character screen to see if your armor items are outlined in
a thin red border.

Strangely, everything is working fine now. I rebooted WoW about 6
times and the problem went away. Thanks though for your reply.

Did you die and use the spirit at the grave yard to resurrect? Doing this
will give you a debuff that will lower your stats by a large amount, thus
making you more vulnerable to incoming damage and less effective when
dealing damage. Sounds like that could be the problem here, and that it wore
off while you were trying to figure it out. Just a thought. you wrote that
you're new to WoW but if you already know about res sickness, hen don't mind
me

As for your looting problem, I have no idea what that could be. And you
inability to pay for repairs might just be shortage of gold? when you do use
the spirit to resurrect it will cost a lot more than normal.
